Missions Emphasis Month

Many people live life with no purpose.  Christians have a mission to accomplish; a purpose to live for!  Jesus said “Go ye into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every Creature.”  How can the church of God fulfil this Great Mission; this Great Commission?  GPBC is committed to reaching the world with the good news of the Gospel, and the Missions Emphasis is a time to focus on how we can have a part.

This month, GPBC will host four missionaries from around the world who will share their burden for their countries.  These are the “boots on the ground” workers that we support to take the Gospel to places we ourselves cannot go.  You will not want to miss a single service!

Dan & Beth Canavan

IRELAND

To begin, on September 18 we will host veteran missionaries Dan and Beth Canavan, who have spent the past two decades serving in the country of Ireland.  Ireland is steeped in Catholic tradition, and blinded to the simplicity of the Gospel.  It is vital that the Light of the gospel penetrate the dark European continent, where once the light of Christ shone, but is now only a flickering flame.

Ben & Carrie Cooley

Church Planters to REDMOND, OREGON

On September 25, our guests will be Bro. Ben & Carrie Cooley, a church planter getting ready to start a brand new church in Redmond, OR. You will not want to miss meeting and hearing from this passionate church planter. We are excited to partner with the Cooley family as they work to plant this new work in Central Oregon.

Jerry & Naneta Tanawan

PHILIPPINES

On October 2, Missionaries Jerry and Neneta Tanawan will be at GPBC from the Philippines.  The Philippines is ripe for the harvest, and thousands of Filipinos are coming to Christ through the Tanawan’s ministry, and others like it.  Brother Tanawan will be sharing the need and passion to reach the Philippines.

Micah & Sarah Reasoner

RUSSIA

On October 9, we will have our final missionary of the conference, Micah and Sarah Reasoner, missionaries in the country of Russia.  Due to the recent war in Europe, these missionaries are home for a time, but desperately wanting to return and share the Gospel with the Russian people.

Missions is about Every Christian doing their part to achieve the Work God wants us to do.  Pray now that God would reveal your part in World-Wide Evangelization.  And be sure to attend each week of the GPBC Missions Emphasis Conference.

We’ll see you there!
